Apropos of the discussion near the end of this thread, I have to think that some of the film-sourced music videos has been newly-scanned in high resolution; otherwise, that material is going to look pretty horrendous blown up to IMAX proportions.

Seems to be the film version of the book tour - Mike D and Ad-Rock both mentioned on stage that Jonze was "directing" the show, so there was speculation then that it would all be presented as a film. It was kind of a glorified book reading, but still lots of fun.

Some of them have already been uploaded in remastered HD to YouTube

To that end, choosing for it to appear in the IMAX format sounds like a prank typical of Jonze or the boys themselves.

Hah, yes, BUT technically it's not as outrageous as you'd might think. You can find photos of the book tour online but depending on how everything is framed, IMAX could accurately recreate what they were doing on stage. The photo projections could be cut to as archival stills, but often times they served as backdrops. I don't want to spoil it, but the show is bookended by a projected stage setting that makes Mike D and Ad-Rock appear to be at a specific location - from the right immersive angle, it looked amusing, but it would translate hilariously well on IMAX.

Initially thought this title referred to a bio-pic ala 'Straight Outta Compton'. Which I for one would love to see.
