Let's get sick with Soderbergh!

In accord with our current situation, let's embrace disease with one of our best living filmmakers.

Awesome, and a good reminder that I never watched the second season of The Knick when it was released and should remedy that.

Side Effects is my favorite of the bunch, but I’d vote for Contagion if anyone is interested in taking a horror angle on it.

I voted Side Effects but I also haven’t watched season two yet— it and K Street are my rainy day Soderberghs

Wilder card, bitches. Yeeeeeehaw!

#1337 Post by Mr Sausage » Fri May 08, 2020 6:33 am

To coincide with the Billy Wilder auteur list project, our theme for this week's vote is Billy Wilder films, which have been selected at random from his filmography

To be more precise and transparent, I pulled random titles from all eligible films (including ones he just wrote) that have a boutique label release

In the spirit of my initial wish to convert people to Irma la Douce's brilliance for this project, if you or anyone writes (somewhat detailed) thoughts about it here, in its thread or in the Wilder list project thread, I'll do the same for a film of your choosing.

I am not a native English speaker, so bear with me. Wilder card, bitches. Yeeeeeehaw! This wasn't taught in the school. Is this some kind of secret language?

It’s a reference to a well-known moment in the television show It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia

Thanks Domino! I was just afraid you would shut us out. My vote goes for Stalag 17. Who or what kind of people are bitches?

It's a very versatile word in English slang.

This is the proper definition: A female dog

This is the multi-faceted street definition of "bitch".

This is the verb, "bitch-slap"

And to be completist, this is the slang definition of "punk-ass bitch".

I have no idea how that happened. I definitely didn't put them there. I've edited them out. Weird..

Thank you aox! Every bit I am told tells I am also a bitch. My vote still goes to Stalag 17.
