SHIT! Well, I suppose now we're even. Maybe if we both guess it next month, it'll happen? (I keep staring longingly at my DVD copy in hope...)
It’s worth a shot, I’m a novice at this spiritual stuff but pretty sure the toughest spirits need that synthesis

Since I just purchased the OOP DVD st my local B&N yesterday, this guarantees an upgrade.

WTF it's now listed as OOP? I really hope that indicates an upgrade and not a loss of rights

It's not OOP, it's just listed as "Currently Unavailable" (they probably need to produce more copies). Criterion still have the rights to it as it appears on the Janus website and on the Criterion Channel (with a new restoration?).

It’s been nearly a year since we suffered any delightful and silly spine number numerology...

So allow me to point out that with approx 1050 spines announced this far and approx 60ish OOP spines subtracted from that 1050ish it means that at some point in the October or November slate will be the spine that upon its release will mark 1000 concurrently in print spines, you could almost say it’s a spine 1000!

Which inevitably means Citizen Kane in November as just such a pseudo spine 1000, amiright?!

You're correct - sorry I glossed over that distinction.

Just looking at the Janus site, it looks like the Wong Kar-wai box will come before the Fellini box. All the Janus Wong Kar-wai films have been updated, while the Fellini films have not.
