That's an error - both have already been announced as Blu-ray only (and Worst Person only has a 2K master despite being shot in 4K).

Ah - thanks for the correction. That's a shame!

Expect a Blu-Ray, possibly a UHD for the UK market perhaps even before the year is over. Since they co-produced the new Mia Hansen-Love film One Fine Morning, that'll likely show up on their schedule too.

UK BD & DVD of Drive My Car on July 4
I'm guessing we'll get Wheel of Fortune and Fantasy via MUBI as well at a later date (another Modern Films title that MUBI are streaming).

I wonder if we'll also see Murina? I hope so, looks great (and apparently got the Scorsese seal of approval too).

Great news about the new Park, looking forward to that. Feels like it's been a while since he's had a film out!

Murina is terrific. Deserves to be widely seen but if anyone gets a chance to see on the big screen I highly recommend you do.

I couldn't cancel my Criterion preorder quick enough. I'm going to Norway next month and was even massively anticipating a rewatch of The Worst Person in the World. Now, I don't have to stare at whatever that Criterion cover is. (I have no idea where "The Oslo Trilogy" derives besides the films being set there. Hopefully, he continues filming there.)

Happy to see the boxset coming, but it seems like an intentionally shitty move to reveal it only on the day the standalone "The Worst Person" is released.

Indiewire article about that.

The CC doesn't come out until the 28th, and I wonder how many would have bothered to preorder it knowing that it would be eligible for the July sale within a week of release

this cover is better though? I personally don't find either to be appealing

I vastly prefer Renate Reinsve's profile to the blue-on-black graffiti of the Criterion.

In any event, I imagine Criterion will be perfectly fine, and this will be a big-seller for them as the stand-alone Worst Person appears to be in the UK, and the people side-eyeing the box-set are the usual suspects who check forums like this, have an impressive recall as to which multinational owns which rights, etc.

I also apparently need to be checking the Mubi thread on the regular (alongside the Vinegar Syndrome after Shahram Mokri) as I didn't realize they were pressing Bergman Island, too. 2010-me can't say I saw importing blu-rays from TheAuteurs coming.

(If they wan't to press What Do We See When We Look at the Sky?, Rien à foutre, and Esther Kahn and throw them in a box entitled "Some Films", I'm ready.)

Does anyone know if their DVD production arm has its own website or page? I've scoured the Mubi site and can't seem to find anything!

I'm wondering who you would even contact if you want to ask them about their releases.

Are the extras for the Mubi Oslo set already announced and in stone? The only place I've been able to find them is here under the release's listing, and I'm pretty surprised at how sparse they are, including that deleted scenes and other features Trier seems to be interested in including from just Worst Person are absent. If they're already set this way, I may have to double-dip, especially considering Chris' review of the Criterion disc's supplements' value

I can't answer your question, but it was pretty cheeky of Chris to use the Mubi set's cover art as the lead image for the Criterion review!

I have to applaud MUBI for stepping up their game over the past year and a half. Their streaming service used to be a dreadful experience plagued with constant buffering, image quality and wrong AR issues, just to name a few. Now that the PS app has been updated to include the library, MUBI has become one of my favorite streaming services. Looking forward to the Oslo Trilogy on Blu-ray as well.

Is it, or is it just one of the two most commonly advertised stills from the film?

It's gotten so much better now overall.

I bought a new TV over a year ago and the Android TV app works great on it now. No buffering at all, support for 4K and a lot of interesting films lately, both on the service itself and on the physical disc side.

Just got my copy in the mail and these are indeed the only extras for The Worst Person in the World... the other two films each have the trilogy trailer on them and Oslo, August 31st also has an art gallery extra, so basically Chris' listing is accurate
